Let’s talk about TOXIC TRADING and why it destroys accounts.

Toxic trading isn’t just breaking one rule. It’s a reckless approach that includes:

∙ Excessive trade frequency

∙ Unsustainable risk stacking across multiple positions

∙ Martingale or revenge trading patterns

∙ Gambling behavior disguised as strategy

Here’s why prop firms flag this immediately:

1. It’s not scalable. If you can’t replicate the performance consistently, it’s not skill, it’s luck. Firms fund traders with repeatable edge, not lottery winners.

2. It creates catastrophic risk exposure. When volatility spikes, toxic patterns blow up spectacularly. One bad session wipes everything, and potentially damages the entire platform’s liquidity.

3. It violates the fundamental purpose of funded trading. We’re looking for professional traders who manage risk intelligently, not gamblers chasing quick wins with reckless methods.

Sustainable trading looks like:

∙ Controlled position sizing
∙ Manageable trade frequency
∙ Consistent risk parameters
∙ Replicable performance over time

Toxic trading looks like:

∙ Overtrading to force profits
∙ Risk levels you can’t maintain long-term
∙ Performance that spikes then crashes
∙ Patterns that work once then never again

Professional traders adapt their strategy to work within risk parameters. Toxic traders demand higher limits so they can keep gambling.

If you need so many trades a day or 5% risk per trade to be profitable, you don’t have an edge. You have a ticking time bomb.

Prop firms exist to fund sustainable trading careers, not enable reckless behavior that ends in blown accounts.
