@MSDPolimi On Thursday, we are hosting a very first moment of detailed discussion around this as part of @MSDPolimi masterclasses: https://t.co/zNG3gqdpvB - hopefully first of many :)
We know how to design products and services that work... but how do we make sure to embed broader considerations on the evolution of behaviours and ecosystems in our everyday work? What conceptual frameworks could help us and the organizations we work with think differently?
Together with @MSDPolimi we have been exploring other disciplines looking for inspirations that could enhance the service design practice, applied new techniques in our projects, and feel ready to discuss them as new possible standards - https://t.co/3BEbVymfnq
La trasformazione digitale dei cittadini italiani - e le nuove sfide che si aprono per chi si occupa di progettare servizi digitali. Dalla mia esperienza con @oblotips @PagoPA@teamdigitaleIT
Last year we hosted our 1st ever workshop called with @s_designtools! After few months of research, they've launched this tool to support alignment on the most important expectations in an AI project!
See the 5 stages here or download it from their website to download it. 🔭
A walkthrough in what Design Research means nowadays - touching upon distancing, practice maturity and data abundance - and what to stand for in our work. Thanks @serota for finding the perfect words https://t.co/OJy9grb5wd
Ok this year we learnt how to find inspiration in small everyday things.. but still miss so much the magic of being on a train, wondering in a museum or seating in unknown places https://t.co/ehlHMwM4EZ
PagoPA is looking for a Senior Service Designer to work on strategic projects for the Italian Government and Public Administration. Projects include products like IO, the app for Italian citizens (https://t.co/xpcqqz4J4m), and other key digital services: https://t.co/3dkOZyuJxr

With the current pandemic disease in mind, if you are interested in systems thinking and how to analyse interconnected elements to better understand nowadays complexity and design interventions, this book offers a shocking yet inspiring opportunity for reflection.
📖 Manual for survival, a Chernobyl guide to the future by @katebrownMIT is a collection of documents and testimonies describing a multitude of implications and interventions that took place in the years/decades after the explosion of reactor 4 in Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant
A takeaway is also on the difficulty of measuring an unknown phenomenon and predicting its effects over a long period of time. Numbers concerning radiation levels and exposure have been fluctuating a lot, at the crossroads of medical research and political tensions.
Also, technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning play an increasingly important role in products designed for behaviour change, and this book helps reflect on how to approach the use of data with more transparency and integrity.
📖 Engaged: Designing for Behavior Change by @amybphd is a guidebook for designers and practitioners who want to learn about psychology and motivation theories behind behaviour change, and how to apply them to product and service design.
I’ve found particularly helpful the sections about detecting and solving ability blockers, showing practical applications of the Behaviour Change Wheel to ideate design interventions that address issues related to capability, opportunity and motivation.
📣 Next week all-ready for the Rethink Festival https://t.co/kfpuZoDbUW! This year topic is “Designing transitions. May service design be radical?” to reflect on how organisations approach moments of change, asking to rethink their business and service models
Our workshop takes place on zoom on Friday 19th at 3.30pm (in Italian). We have about 30 participants already registered from various companies and institutions, but still a few places for anybody interested in the topic: https://t.co/sqN3ZDg9Ys
