I'm grateful to @CAIS for the opportunity to spend 3 days with the unstoppable women of @CAIS LI Women in Leadership module and to co-lead with awesome @Larakoretsky. Profound insights, learning, trust. The future is bright! @mlletassone @s_casement@LaurelAdolphe @LisaWest23
@CAIS_Schools what a great final day of my final module of the summer! I highly recommend the Women in Leadership module! Thank you @LaraKoretsky & @ClearGreenDay
Dear @twitter. Please stop sending me recommendations. Almost every single suggestion was negative, unnecessarily controversial or completely unrelated to my interests. That’s just not how I roll. #acadmicallyinspiringonlysvp
Hey everyone. Jess here.
Terry is still processing the emotional high of the last month & sleeping in.
The t-shirts we were wearing during his last show seemed to garner some attention & we wanted to let you know that in a few days you'll be able to buy them. Details soon. 👕
Unpopular opinion but I’ll share it anyway: principals have been amazing this schoolyear. Thankless job. Angry parents. Constantly changing directives from politicians. Staff feeling beat down. Kids in crisis. And they showed up amid the chaos and did their best.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a place where you could get reliable advice about teaching, leadership, hiring, PD and so on? Well, now there is. The best of the Marshall Memo—18 years of weekly syntheses of the best thinking in education—is here, free: https://t.co/YRcXZ2ETKh
BREAKING: Health Canada authorizes the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in children 12 to 15 years of age. This is the first COVID-19 vaccine authorized in Canada for use in children.
My heart melting teacher moment yesterday:
Me: Hey kiddo want to give me a hand cleaning up these little papers on the floor?
Student: Yes! (& with a big smile slips his hand in mine & starts holding my hand tight)
We pick up little papers off the floor with 1 hand each. 💙💜♥️
It's the 1st time I feel like I could use a gradebook. Though I would not fill it with %, opting for met or not yet met, I can see the potential! I just developed a test based on learning targets for ELA. It makes sense to grade it in the same way.
