@cohe49638345 @VenusGauff Coco usually plays doubles at the lead up tournaments when switching surfaces so doubt she said playing would be a distraction. Possibly the hype around her playing with the GOAT might be. Lots of media/press…takes focus away from the tennis.

@lucyydeuce Loss the same way as her last 2 tournaments; she knows it and just needs to make a mental switch during match play. This might be the loss that helps her commit to the way she knows she must play now.

@HumpA_55 When you’ve played and WON the same way since you started; it’s hard to simply change how you play. Her natural playing style is using her athleticism and now she has to change. Making the mental switch in stress situations will take time; just like the serve change.
