.@Astro_Anil and @Soph_Astro are suiting up now for spacewalk set to begin soon today to swap a high-speed antenna outside the space station live on @NASA+. https://t.co/DzIc3TZZLn
Timelapse of the ISS Optimal Propellent Maneuver (OPM)! We use this to reorient station's attitude in preparation for docking events. This one occurred over some magnificent Mediterranean city lights!
Pretty in pink! We’re currently in a period of “high beta” on the @Space_Station. Given the current angle between the orbital plane of the ISS and the direction of the Sun, we currently have no real “night” dark periods – there is always a bit of light. This makes for some interesting (and stunning!) effects with long shadows and lighting, like the pink sunrise I experienced in the Cupola yesterday. Pretty in pink, isn’t she?
🇺🇸 For a tournament that started with so much promise, the United States journey at the World Cup ends exactly where it did in 2022, 2014 and 2010: The round of 16.
This loss, unlike the others, was an ass-whooping.
At a home World Cup... this is a disappointment.
Your shame is rooted in the fact that as American soccer fans, we’ve mostly felt the need to be subservient to the “real” soccer nations. This ends now
as a fan of both teams, it’s not lost on me how uswnt fans poking fun at the men are always “they’re not good lol” while a lot of the usmnt fans poking fun at the women resort to telling you women’s trophies don’t matter while using arguments based on bigotry
sorry but you guys are not gonna switch the narrative and act like uswnt fans are some evil bullies for joking about usmnt not being as successful after years of men harassing uswnt, laughing at pinoe getting injured and calling the players all types of homophobic slurs
The 73-win Warriors entered the Finals as the winningest team in NBA history, while Cleveland carried a 52-year championship drought.
On this day in 2016, Cleveland completed the first 3-1 comeback in NBA Finals history, winning three straight to capture its first championship 🏆
Introducing Artemis III.
Four astronauts. Three launches. Two dockings. One splashdown.
In 2027, the Artemis III mission will practice docking the Orion spacecraft with two lunar landers in low Earth orbit — the capability we need to return humanity to the Moon’s surface.
We have a crew! Congrats to these four: our new Artemis III crew! I can’t wait to work with them.
For Artemis III, I will be filling the role as lead Capcom.
