We're excited for the last day of #cphbat2022 🔥 this conference is really delivering on the great talks & interesting discussions @_Anna_Jung@s_kotschi
The novel cell-death #ferroptosis remains to be fully understood.
This paper links the NFE2L1-proteasome pathway to ferroptosis and highlights a range of potential clinical implications.

Check out this new paper by our outstanding @s_kotschi! NFE2L1-mediated proteasome function protects from ferroptosis 💥 @BarteltLab@MolMetab https://t.co/NfDJWV1u5V
In my MD I studied oxidative stress in #adipocytes and got interested in #ferroptosis - happy to see our work out there. Thanks to our @Ferroptosis2306 priority program for making this work possible!
Hey @CarolinMuley & @s_kotschi your accepted paper is online @FrontEndocrinol - congrats!
Role of ubiquilins in brown adipocyte proteostasis and thermogenesis

Just in - manuscript accepted @FrontEndocrinol - very pround of @CarolinMuley and @s_kotschi for pushing this through, thanks to the editor and reviewers for providing critical feedback! More to follow...
@FarnazShamsi@phillipwhite14@BarteltLab Thanks @FarnazShamsi! So AATBC is a intergenic lncRNA and we have not seen any regulation of the neighbouring genes - which we found quite striking since it is exclusively found in the nucleus!
Super talk on the LncRNA AATBC in brown fat @BarteltLab. Your data suggest this novel LncRNA has a major impact on the mitochondria, do you know if AATBC is expressed in other metabolic tissues such as skeletal muscle and whether expression is altered in obesity? #METPHYS2021
@luiz_leiria@BarteltLab@phillipwhite14@ReviewCommons Thanks Luiz, we found the other way around, that cAMP signaling over various inducers elevates AATBC. RNASeq and other results didn't show us the classic PKA-pathway so we think that the regulation is more specific to mitochondria. But check cAMP-levels is always worth a try!

HAND2 is a novel #obesity-linked adipogenic transcription factor regulated by glucocorticoid signalling
BIG THX to lead author Dr. Maude Giroud👩🔬, our generous collaborators, @AvHStiftung@ERC_Research and the editorial team @DiabetologiaJnl for a fair review
