We began the visit of NATO’s North Atlantic Council to Ukraine by honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian warriors at the Wall of Remembrance. Along with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte @SecGenNATO, Chair of the Alliance’s Military Committee Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone @CMC_NATO, as well as the permanent representatives and deputy permanent representatives of all 32 NATO member states.

We deeply appreciate this sign of respect from the Alliance representatives toward our warriors, who defended our country and all of Europe from Russian evil. It is profoundly important to remember every single man and woman thanks to whom we have the opportunity to live freely and choose our own way of life.

Blessed be the memory of the fallen Ukrainian defenders. Eternal honor to the heroes.

The international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children from Russia continues to grow.

On May 11, a summit of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children took place in Brussels, which was attended by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, representatives of the EU, European countries and Canada, and the team of the President of Ukraine's initiative "Bring Kids Back U."

▶️ The International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children was established in 2024 as a coordination platform for uniting the efforts of Ukraine, Canada, and the EU to return Ukrainian minors deported to Russia.

▶️ 46 countries and three international organizations have already joined the Coalition. Ukraine welcomes the accession of Switzerland, Cyprus, and Panama to the Coalition.

▶️ Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 2,126 Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia have been returned home, but a much larger number still needs help.

▶️ Ukraine highly appreciates the assistance of international partners in returning Ukrainian children home.

▶️ 50 million euros from the EU and 10 million euros from Lithuania will be allocated for the reintegration and other needs of liberated Ukrainian children and for bringing to justice those who committed crimes against them.

▶️ The world must increase pressure on Russia to force it to return deported and forcibly displaced Ukrainians. Sanctions against child kidnappers are an important component of this pressure.

▶️ In Russia and in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, Ukrainian children are in danger and are subjected to various forms of violence.

▶️ The kidnapping of children, their imposition of Russian identity, and their transfer to Russian families are components of the Kremlin's genocidal policy.

▶️ The UN International Commission recognized that the deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia is a crime against humanity. The Kremlin regime offered Ukraine to exchange kidnapped children for Russian prisoners of war. This is unacceptable.

▶️ The unconditional return home of all deported and illegally displaced children should be an obligatory component of a peaceful settlement.
