4th generation grower in Oldtown, Co. Dublin
Ryan’s rhubarb, as old as the hills,
A cure for many ills,
Calories, carbs; practically zero,
Your new season hero
@ShanHalpin132@AgriAware@Bordbia Invest in teaching children how to grow food and cook
These initiatives are box ticking, pr exercises
Give schools raised beds, link in with local growers to fill them; children could then visit the farm, make this part of the curriculum, not another project
Picked rhubarb back in February with Derek @s_rhubarb fermenting for dishes like this..
Grew Koji using @umami_chef using that to make sweet Amazake.
Ordered #kilmorequay@GannetFish scallops & dried Roe for seasoning.
Few other bits @woodruffdublin as you do
Back to where it all began for @s_rhubarb
Generations of growers sold veg here
A beautiful building steeped in history and wonderful stories
@DubCityCouncil what is the plan for The Dublin Market?
Current use=nightmare realm

@giyireland@mickkellygrows
@mickkellygrows We planted garlic on the winter solstice, and tomatoes in January. We’ll make our own bread and serve a bruschetta style treat to the staff in June🤞 Skills learned in growing and cooking are life lasting and as important as literacy and maths. They also aid well being #SpecialEd
Rhubarb, does size matter?
@ryansrhubarb we’re all about colour and taste
At the start of any rhubarb season, outdoor or persuaded; the stick will be shorter
As many of us will chop and then cover rhubarb with a crumble or pastry topping, does the length of the stick matter?
@s_rhubarb is back!

@mistereatgalway I cook once a week in primary school with the groups I take who have additional needs, 3rd-6th. The skills learned are immeasurable, incredibly valuable and the memories they make; life lasting. Fun factor is off the charts too!
