82 years ago, on the beaches of Normandy, brave British and Allied forces changed the course of history forever.
We must never forget the service and sacrifice of those courageous men and women.
Our debt to them can never be repaid.
The Novak family made clear that the police got things wrong, and spelled out how with infinite dignity.
Police double-standards are an entirely legitimate subject for public debate.
As someone who 'took the knee' for the discredited BLM movement (which sought to abolish prisons and defund law enforcement) you are in no position to criticise anyone for politicising a death in police custody.
As a politician struggling to hold onto office you are entitled to play every card at your disposal.
But this is amoral and grotesque.
The Prime Minister says “lessons must be learned” over the death of Henry Nowak.
He then goes on to say “there is no two-tier policing” despite being read a line by Nigel Farage, from the Police racism guidelines, which instructs officers to police unequally.
They don’t want to change anything. Let’s be clear.
When George Floyd died, they demanded change to policing in Britain. They got it. The change they got was to make the laws that saw Henry die without a shred of dignity.
You cannot hate this government enough.
She complained she inherited a £22bn hole from the Conservatives. She has managed to dig her own hole three times that size in just two short years. Policy appears to be “when you’re in a hole, keep digging”. 👇
"You are not likely to see Henry Nowak’s words stenciled on a mural. No corporation will change its logo. The same establishment that made a few words immortal when spoken by a black man in Minneapolis has met the same words, spoken by a white boy dying on a British street, with what can only be described as a determined, institutional silence. That silence is not neutral. It is a statement. It tells you exactly whose suffering the system has decided counts, and whose does not."
It's almost too excrutiating to watch. But watch we must & we must not look away. We must hear those cruel last words Henry heard. And recognise: this is what happens when police/state agencies become completely discombobulated by mandated EDI identitarian victim politics on race

Perhaps a succinct précis of what ails this government, with Keir Starmer the heart of the problem:
Mandelson: ‘They [10 Downing Street] don’t work as a team, they are not led and none of them really know what Keir [Starmer] thinks or wants.
‘In fact most of them don’t think Keir knows what he wants.’
In these 33 words Mandelson sums up why this government , despite its landslide majority, has gone off the rails so quickly and so completely.
Apparently this video isn’t enough evidence to convict the guy in blue for assaulting all three police officers
Yet Lucy Connolly got two years in prison for an off colour tweet - prosecutions Keir Starmer encouraged
Labour’s two tier justice system has to end
@ZiaYusufUK@Christo10876363 Expect like others I believe that if these 2 charged had been white working class men they would have been convicted and sentenced some time ago. Shocking
When Labour took office, headline inflation was 2pc. That same figure has since averaged 3.1pc, compared to 2.7pc in the US over the same period, 2.2pc in Germany and 1.9pc in France.
“We promised to cut inflation – and we have”, said Reeves last week. That statement is arrant nonsense, despite last month's one-off inflation fall – as will soon become painfully clear.
