Ethiopia and Eritrea. Another worrying development.
Ethiopian government forces have entered Adwa in Tigray after opposition fighters withdrew.
Residents report closed shops, looting and growing fear.
But my concern remains the ordinary people.
A small sign of recovery in Tigray, but serious concerns remain.
Flights have resumed to Mekelle after weeks of disruption.
For families trying to rebuild their lives, restoring essential services matters.
But the fighting and tensions between Ethiopia and Eritrea remain unresolved.
People need more than promises.
• Protect civilians.
• Restore essential services.
• Allow humanitarian assistance.
• Return to peace negotiations.
Ethiopia and Eritrea. How close are we to another devastating war?
Today, Eritrea asked the United Nations to intervene in its growing dispute with Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, Ethiopian forces have entered Adigrat in Tigray.
Both governments accuse each other of aggression.
But while leaders exchange accusations, ordinary families face hunger, fear and uncertainty.
These are people who have already suffered through years of war.
How many more lives must be lost?
Our region needs dialogue, civilian protection and peace.
TRUMP'S DIESEL DEAL WITH PUTIN: AT WHAT COST?
Trump wants cheaper fuel. Zelensky fears more money for Russia's war.
The US is easing restrictions on Russian diesel to help bring down fuel prices.
For struggling families, cheaper fuel is welcome news.
But here's the dilemma.
How do you pressure Russia to end a war while allowing it to earn more from fuel sales?
Cheaper fuel matters. So does peace in Ukraine.
The question is, where should the balance lie?
What do you think?
Saaid Talks | Let's talk about what matters.
Ethiopia and Eritrea. Is another war beginning?
Ethiopia has accused Eritrea of invading its territory. Eritrea rejects the accusations.
Reports of troop movements and drone strikes have increased fears across the region.
But my biggest concern is the ordinary people.
Families in Tigray have already experienced years of suffering.
They deserve safety, stability and peace.
Both governments need to prioritise dialogue and civilian protection.
How many more families must suffer before peace becomes the priority?
💔 Ethiopia and Eritrea: Please, Not Another War.
Haven’t our people suffered enough?
We have seen mothers bury their children, families torn apart, and millions forced to flee their homes.
Now, with tensions rising again between Ethiopia and Eritrea, the fear of another devastating war is heartbreaking.
While leaders argue over politics and power, ordinary people pay the price.
Think of the mother in Tigray who survived the last war and is finally rebuilding her life. Now she fears losing everything again.
Ethiopians and Eritreans share history, culture, families and so much more.
We have more reasons to live together in peace than to fight each other.
This is not about taking sides. It is about protecting innocent lives.
An Ethiopian mother's pain is no different from an Eritrean mother's pain. Every child deserves to grow up without fear.
Our people need schools, hospitals, jobs and opportunities, not another war.
We need peace, not another generation of graves.
❤️ Peace for Ethiopia.
❤️ Peace for Eritrea.
❤️ Peace for Tigray.
❤️ Peace for the Horn of Africa.
