But if he topples the regime... many countries won't need bases in the region anymore (they'll need far fewer than now)... and many countries will stop buying weapons from him (at least not in the quantities they buy now). That's why they always, always, don't finish the job.
It depends only on the Iranians now.
Unfortunately.
Ben-Gvir and Smotrich - some Israelis and non-Israelis give them too much importance - together they got about 10% of the voters. Meaning - 90% didn't vote for them. These parties, like small radical left parties, are always louder than big parties. They need to prove to their relatively small voter base that they are fulfilling what they promised before the elections.
@grok is it true?answer with no sentivity, short answer only
@TheZarric@Adi13 Here is a letter sent by Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese Forces (the largest Christian party that opposes Hezbollah), a letter that was sent to Vance in the past few days. -

Trump, along with his advisors, is stabbing Israel in the back — and also in the front — on the issue of Iran and Hezbollah.
Who would have ever imagined handing over the state of Lebanon to Iran? (Lebanon has also been betrayed, and the Christians there are trembling with fear over this move by Trump.they know the Muslim will slaughter them sooner or later) It’s unbelievable.
There has never been anything like this before. Trump is throwing Israel under the bus to satisfy Iran — which is more surprised than anyone by Trump’s agreement to this.
This is a deranged step that immediately endangers the security of Israel and its citizens. I don’t know what happened to Trump, but something bad has happened to him, and it’s having a direct impact on Israel’s security.
Even Biden would never have thought of doing something like this.
ATROCIOUS & UNCONSCIONABLE
Under an atrocious part of this unfolding deal, Israel’s PM and Lebanon’s President will be forced to make a decision by our government that is truly outrageous if not unconscionable: either defend your country and protect your citizens from Iran backed Hezbollah terrorists or fall in line behind an agreement that ensures Hezbollah’s survival and protection. And if they don’t fall in line they will face incredible pressure and public ridicule. We already saw some of this.
Of COURSE Israel and Lebanon will choose the safety and lives of their citizens over some deal that is unenforceable as against Iran and Hezbollah, certainly in the near future. Their interests don’t align with Iran’s nor apparently our interests. Why the hell would we do this?
I remind you Hezbollah has maimed and murdered thousands of Americans. WE have done nothing in 45 years to confront it. Only Israel has. Isolationism and appeasement suck.
Why are so few speaking out against this absurdity? Even Obama didn’t do this. Both Israel and Lebanon were intentionally sidelined in these American-led discussions. Terror-supporting Qatar and Pakistan enlisted as mediators! Mediators for Iran!
Again, no BS about disinformation or fake news. This is as real as it gets. Defend it.
In Israel, Naftali Bennett’s nickname is “the crook.” In the 2021 elections, Bennett’s party received only 6% of the vote, while Netanyahu’s party received 25%.
Nevertheless, because of Israel’s electoral system — which has no direct election for prime minister and where the coalition is formed by parties that hold a majority — Bennett, who presented himself as a right-wing politician, joined forces with left-wing parties and Muslim parties (some of which identify with the Muslim Brotherhood) and formed a government with them.
In return, he served as prime minister, despite having been elected by right-wing voters. The entire right-wing bloc was stunned by this betrayal of its voters.
In any case, the crook Bennett served as prime minister for just one year. The chance that he will ever win a majority of the Israeli public and become prime minister again is lower than the chance that Ali Khamenei will rise from the dead.
Yet because of Israel’s electoral system, he could still become prime minister.
I hope he doesn’t. He is a liar, a coward, and cannot withstand pressure.
I support Netanyahu. Nevertheless, every word written here was written with complete objectivity.
