“Do not control your wife in her house,
When you know she is efficient.
Do not say, 'Where is it? Get it!'
When she has put it in the right place.”
- Instruction of the Scribe Ani to a Younger Man (1300 BC)
The Instruction of the Scribe Ani is an Ancient Egyptian wisdom text preserved on papyrus, part of the long tradition of “sebayt (teachings)”, that offered moral guidance, social advice, and professional wisdom.
Written in the late New Kingdom (1300–1100 BC), the papyrus is brimming with gently pointed counsel on how to conduct oneself with grace, be it within the household, in one’s temper, and even in one’s aspirations. All are conveyed with that unmistakable Egyptian blend of humour, tenderness, and common sense, yet quietly philosophical in spirit, centuries before the Greeks put such matters to parchment.

“The international community underwrote a genocide in order to overturn #Tigray’s democratic will — that’s what happened. We were punished by genocide for voting. So, you would understand if there is a fear of demanding that we get to vote again.”

The collective actions triggered by emerging social media leaders to end death by starvation in Tigray are exemplary both in message and method, and deserve support from all of us!
Context in numbers, figures, and maps:
Nearly half of all reported deaths in Tigray are due to starvation, most of them among IDPs.
An academic study covering November 2022–August 2023 found that starvation was the leading cause of death across all age groups, accounting for 49.3% of verified deaths. Children under five and women were among the most vulnerable.
Earlier investigations revealed that over 300 IDPs have died from starvation and lack of medical care at Hitsats IDP Camp in Northwestern Tigray since 2022. These are conservative numbers.
Since July 2025 alone, more than 50 additional deaths have been reported, placing thousands more lives at immediate risk.
Meanwhile, a dramatic cut in humanitarian aid has deepened the crisis. Food assistance dropped by 56.2%, from 1,657,018 people in January 2025 to just 725,839 in November 2025, mostly IDPs. This means 931,179 fewer people received life-saving support in just eleven months.
History and science are clear: where governance is responsive, famine does not exist. These deaths are not inevitable; they are the result of bad power politics, resource greed, and failed regimes.

Happy bday to me 🌙
Since it's my B-Day, I am manifesting for everyone who comes across this post
I love you all & thank you for being here throughout my journey
There is only one way to reconnect the severed connection with God, and that is to go within and purify your heart. You can fool the outside world, but you cannot fool God, for He can see your heart, because you are part of God and God dwells within you.
This is the classic #Tigrayan culture I know, where elders bless the young. This is how we grew up & this is how it should always be. Beautiful 🤩❤️👏🏽👉
Let us hold our beautiful culture dear & protect it.
