“As more people discover it, I think people may want to see some form of the story come back. We did have a lot of stuff that we wanted to explore- including tying in lore to the sequels. I'm actually surprised by this.

I mean, *I've* enjoyed Rings of Power overall, but it's had some really low moments so far. I thought it would go the way of the Wheel of Time after this season.

Hopefully the commitment to a 4th season is a good sign for season 3's quality...

I feel like if this had just been some episodes of Mando, I would have called them super solid. It was also a little bit of a return to the fun and quality of seasons 1-2.

My biggest critique is the lack of an emotional arc for Din/Grogu. Would have elevated the movie overall.

Saw #TheMandalorianAndGrogu and can honestly say it was fun and entertaining! I hope a lot of people go see it. It's not groundbreaking, and it's got some pacing issues. But I went in with low expectations and came out with them a little exceeded, so that's a nice feeling.

I think the people complaining that Vader doesn't talk in Maul: Shadow Lord are overreacting. He talks plenty in other stories. Silence was a deliberate choice to make him scarier.

The Mandalorian and Grogu from @Jon_Favreau is just over 5 months away. And while we’ve seen 3 teasers (and counting) for another big Disney film coming out well after that, M&G still has just 1 measly teaser trailer, which was released in September. That’s a little weird. (1/2)

I agree that Star Wars needs to do more new things, but the problem is that Johnson (and Abrams, to an extent) "shook things up" with zero respect for the characters he was dealing with. He didn't respect Luke's heroism or ability to see the good in everything. He didn't respect

Finn's potential as a Force wielder. He did respect the fact that Rey was special for herself, not for her lineage, but then Abrams retconned that completely. Shock for the sake of it isn't good storytelling (neither is putting characters in a coma to get them out of the way).
