Today’s developments in Ladakh reaffirm what Aga Syed @RuhullahMehdi has long maintained: people’s aspirations cannot be addressed through silence, but through political resolve and honest representation.

Ladakh has now been promised safeguards for land, jobs, culture, and local identity, exactly the kind of protections people of J&K have been demanding.

The people of Jammu & Kashmir gave a clear mandate for these rights. The question is: when will that mandate be used for what it was truly given?

NEET-PG 2025 cut-offs expose the truth:
General : 7th percentile (103/800)
SC/ST/OBC: 0 percentile (–40/800)

This isn’t affirmative action. It’s an obliteration of merit.

PS: J&K in particular & the country at large needs immediate Rationalisation otherwise Medical colleges would become a breeding ground --not of Doctors with a D,but of Butchers with a B.

The vanguard of General category population & students in particular ,@GCO_JK
asks JKSSB the following 7 questions :

1. When Jammu division has faced devastation for the past 10–15 days, especially in Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua, and Jammu, is it fair to conduct JE (Civil) exam in such a situation? Doesn’t this look like favouring one division?

2. Did JKSSB consider the official weather and disaster advisories before finalizing the exam schedule? If not, why were these ignored?

3. If JE (Electrical) was cancelled citing “weather advisory” and allegations of irregularities, why is the same concern not shown for JE (Civil) when the flood situation is more serious?

4. Many aspirants in flood-hit districts cannot safely reach exam centres. What mechanism does JKSSB have to ensure equal opportunity to such candidates?

5. How will fairness be ensured when aspirants in Jammu division face internet shutdowns and power breakdowns, making it impossible to download admit cards or check updates?

6. Why was JE (Electrical) cancelled only after students raised concerns? Why not a proactive inquiry before JE (Civil)?

7. On what emergency grounds is JE (Civil) being pushed through in haste, when normal administrative prudence requires postponement during disasters?

Rationalise The Reservation Policy ASAP

Excessive reservation is proving to be a disaster.
While only a small section of the population in J&K mainly concentrated in 2-3 districts secures huge chunk of jobs and admissions, the majority of the unreserved population in Kashmir & Jammu remains largely excluded.

The lack of response from the government and the continuous release of job advertisements have increased anxiety and mental pressure among the general category population. If this trend continues, a large segment of society may be pushed below the poverty line with Unemploymet already at record high.
We urge the Govt to immediately rectify this situation.
