I sketch cities. I'm attempting to sketch every city in the UK 🤓 I'm about to finish #Aberdeen it has taken an age - COVID took a big bite. Aberdeen is on the up, a gem of a place, some of the most astronomically beautiful buildings I have ever seen. 🤓
Happy Tolkien Reading Day.
‘..and out of that storm Ulmo the Lord of Waters arose in majesty and spoke to Tuor as he stood beside the sea. And Ulmo bade him depart from that place and seek out the hidden kingdom of Gondolin’
-The Silmarillion

“Most of us have small, sad places in our hearts. My father felt deeply but kept his feelings to himself. Or rather, being a writer, he let them escape in his writing. And so such sadnesses as there were put on cap and bells and emerged as Eeyore.”~C.R.Milne #WorldMentalHealthDay
Hilarious! A brilliant actor. I saw him on stage several times, and he lives unforgettably in my memory. He took over Dumbledore from my father, which was fitting as he over took Brando as my father’s favourite actor.
Tolkien's life is an example of how such deep experiences and values can translate into such beauty and wonder that can reverberate into the world far after we are gone!
