@ItsJamesHall No reasonable tax policy would have kept him anyway. The only thing that would have kept him would have been a sense of patriotism for fellow countrymen less well off and a sense of pride of the condition of their country's public services.
@narindertweets I'd be surprised if she actually believes the things she says, I think she's just saying whatever she needs to in order to continue grifting an MP salary. Her only belief system is self interest.
@ghq2001 Pensioners are wealth hoarders by definition because they don't know how many years they'll need to make the money last for. Young people starting out and making families and buying homes are the spenders keeping the economy cogs moving.
@JoannaBlythman The irony! That's the whole point. "People can't keep up with their bills, let alone save up" so is it fair that they're paying for a triple lock when SP is outpacing their wage growth?
@MartinSLewis It would be inconceivable to suggest young people get universal basic income to help them start out in life but people who have had their entire lives to save for their own retirement are the ones that society has chosen to bail out.
@AdnanHussainMP Everyone says the answer is growth but nobody knows how to actually achieve growth. It's all just hot air and in the meantime things just continue to deteriorate.
