The flagship Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative completes 10 years of inspiring change and strengthening the foundation of an inclusive India. Over the past decade, the mission has reshaped mindsets and reinforced the belief that educating the girl child is key to nation-building.

Drawing inspiration from this national movement, NALCO Foundation introduced the CSR initiative “NALCO KI LADLI” in FY 2015–16 to support the education of meritorious girl students from economically weaker and BPL families in the districts of Koraput and Angul, Odisha. What began as a modest effort to empower young girls has gradually grown into a meaningful force of positive change across villages in the region.

Through sustained educational and financial support, the NALCO KI LADLI initiative has touched the lives of more than 1075 young girls, enabling them to pursue their academic dreams with confidence through an annual scholarship of ₹9,000. Beyond financial assistance, the initiative has helped nurture aspiration, dignity, and social mobility, reinforcing the idea that when a girl is educated, an entire community moves forward.

As Beti Bachao Beti Padhao marks a decade of impact, NALCO KI LADLI proudly carries forward this vision—one girl, one family, and one future at a time.
