Round 2 at India's Largest IMAX Miraj Cinemas, Wadala 🔥, the second watching gets even better 😍. And that sound was just so heart thumping, can't get enough of it. I chose E18 but it was not that immersive compared to H25 when I last watched Avatar The Way of Water. If you want better immersion just choose centre seats of F,G,H in this screen and you'll go bonkers for sure.

Rs 250 Crore For Mundhe's Transfer!

IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe rattled drug and gutkha mafia within just two months of taking charge of Food and Drug Administration. Allegations of Rs 250 crore being collected to secure his transfer were raised by MLA Jitendra Awhad in Assembly today. Taking serious note of the issue, the minister assured the House that Mundhe would not be transferred.

When she became the BMC Commissioner, I called it Punishment Posting.

Why?

Because all the good-will she's earned via MMRCL (Line 3) will instantly go down the drain. Even if she gives the posting her 200%, she's bound to fail.

BMC or pretty much any existing government department or agency CANNOT be fixed. The rot is just too deep. The only viable solution is to entirely NUKE the municipal corporation, start fresh, and hire new people for everything.

Even a single keeda from the last regime is potent enough to re-spread the disease.

Precisely why you will never get to see a modern railway station in India via IR. Meanwhile newer kids or operators like DMRC, MMMOCL, NCRTC, NHSRCL etc do not carry trauma and baggage from half a decade ago.

Classic Air India vs Vistara situation.

Vistara was doing just fine. As a young operator, it was doing everything right while posting a maximum loss of INR 2,000 crore.

Acquiring Air India meant they infested the healthy body as well with cockroaches. Now collectively they get nothing right and post a lakh crore in loses.

Even if Ashwinin Bhide sits on the head of a contractor and forces them to make the most perfect footpath...the next day some other BMC engineer will rent out that space to a vada pav wala for INR 500 per day. If she fires the corrupt keeda, next day someone will park their car on it and the problem will get transferred to police then. This will always be a very long, depressing game of passing the parcel.

Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu, a spiritual leader and an ISKCON monk, continues to languish behind bars in Bangladesh while the world watches.

When even his lawyers are intimidated, threatened and silenced in court corridors, what justice are we even talking about?
Is advocating for the rights of the Minority Hindu community a crime? When a saffron-clad soul is treated like a criminal for raising his voice, the world CANNOT remain silent.

I appeal to the Government of Bangladesh to give medical aid and, more importantly, access to fair justice to Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu immediately. May he be granted bail at the earliest.

And to all the pseudo-secularists and Selective Human rights Activists around the World who flood timelines overnight, wave watermelons and trend hashtags on cue, your silence can be still heard. Apparently, your humanity has a filter.

Like I said,very grim situation re traffic sense in Mumbai. Literally every two wheeler here jumped the signal at Prabhadevi today thanks to @MTPHereToHelp and @MumbaiPolice. Absolute wild wild west scenes out here in Mumbai.

My suggestions to the @MTPHereToHelp to get Mumbai back to civilised ways:

- police issue fair warning that the following will be strictly enforced from a stated date

- driving on the wrong side of the road results in automatic confiscation of vehicle.
Can be recovered once at say 15% of vehicle book value.
Similar offence again results in vehicle being impounded n auctioned publicly

- if you have an accident running a light or for wrong side driving; then the driver who was correct is automatically absolved of any punishment.
The onus is completely on the idiot breaking a very basic rule of the road

- running a light should result in crippling fines commensurate wt the value of the vehicle; like in Switzerland.
There, for example, a Ferrari breaking a rule is fined significantly higher for the same offence than a cheaper vehicle is

- A 100 vehicles seized by the police and I’m certain people will think twice before they break the rules

Further suggestions most welcome Mumbaikars

Let’s not tolerate this highly dangerous epidemic anymore
