Week 230 #MangrovesCleanup Drive 🌿
As citizens, we can contribute to environmental conservation—it’s in our hands!
We hope authorities take note and address local civic issues to prevent trash from ending up in the ocean.

Coastal conservation is essential now more than ever.
These plants are rare and vital, and we must protect them for future generations through collective action.
We cannot combat climate change without working together.

Kamothe mangroves are not dumping ground or plots.Thank you for cutting the Ricinus plants near the footpath but they along with other waste were dumped on the side of mangroves instead of removing them. This is encroaching mangroves inch by inch and meter by meter. -Kamothe Sec36

Save mangroves. They are the first line of defense when storms arrive. They are natural filters. They are the most efficient carbon sink to purify air. They are essential urban infrastructure and an ecosystem that sustains millions of lives. @MangrovesMumbai@MangroveForest

AQI at Kharghar was a crazy 407 today. Worse than Delhi in stubble burning season. This is the effect of massive quarrying and construction activities across Navi Mumbai. Chembur too is routinely seeing levels of 340, mainly due to a cement factory in the densely populated area.
Do Not Litter please.
I did my bit early in the morning by cleaning the Vavandhal River Khalapur, this was my last contribution of the year 2022.
Look forward more steps towards Water protection and conservation in new year 2023.
