I believe Santokh Singh was just following from the historical record though, as the Devi Pargat stories are recorded in:
- Mani Singh's Bhagatmala [~1721]
- Koer Singh's Gurbilas [1751]
- Bansavalinama [1769]
- Sukha Singh's Gurbilas [1797]
- Bhangu's Panth Prakash [1809]
Part of my endeavour to translate and unearth precolonial texts into English is to combat this type of 'scholarship', which consciously takes advantage of readers who are not able to read historical sources in Braj and/or Persian.
This thread will shed light on their lies
@unknownMongoose Wonderful! I think we should give more acceptance to the dualist or Vishishtadvaitic schools of interpretations of Gurbani, just as we do with the Advaitic ones. 👏🏽
@AbhayVirSingh29@jvalaaa I don't think ਸਾਬਤਸੂਰਤਿਦਸਤਾਰਸਿਰਾ refers to five ks or even the adornment of Kesh for all Sikhs. As Gurbani also says:
ਕਬੀਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਇਕ ਸਿਉ ਕੀਏ ਆਨ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਜਾਇ।।
ਭਾਵੈ ਲਾਂਬੇ ਕੇਸ ਕਰੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਘਰੀਰ ਮੁਡਾਏ।।
@Sikhpioneers96 @brar_1699 Puranas aren't relevant here tho. It's like using Maharaj's Janamsakhi to refute Vedas or upanishads. These puranic tales are only mythical and have less to do with philosophy and more to do with evoking love for your favourite deity.

Adi Shankaracharya x Guru Gobind Singh

Whatever the region, dress accordingly.
Guru Gobind Singh recited this Proverb, according to texts from the 1700-1800s, when traveling down South he adorned a Lungi [skirt around the waist] and Khes [Shawl around the shoulders].
TANTRIC KRISHNA ; a rare side of Sri Krishna 🦚:
Krishna is a very important & popular deity who is worshipped in different ways in different sects & traditions.
Similarly there is Tantric aspect of Krishna. In this aspect he is a hardcore Tantric sadhak.
@AkaalBlessed @CloseToHeart6 Khalsa are those who consider the entire sansaar as not Maya but Brahm. Anyone, be it from any background who understands it are Khalsa. If not then even acquiring a specific baana won't make us a Khalsa. That's my understanding.
@AkaalBlessed @CloseToHeart6 However When Guru Nanak Paatshah or Dasmesh pita refer to a third path, I don't think that third path refers to a sansarik tradition but an adhyatmic awakening. That being said even a mlechha (foreigner) can be Khalsa and even a dharmic person (in rehit) can be a dusht.
@AkaalBlessed @CloseToHeart6 I didn't say that we must detach Sikhi to it's rehit. I'm only saying that Sikhi isn't confined to just that. In fact, the true essence of gurmat can be found within all abrahmic and dharmic faiths alike even tho their rehit differs from that of us.
