Taking FFPT (Fare Free Public Transport) to an exiting new level

Exclusive Buses for Students : It is a School Bus, by Government, Free of Cost : Exclusive ‘STUDENTS SPECIAL BUSES’

Under this initiative, 25 schools have been identified in the first phase and 50 trips have been launched wherein students will be picked up from the stop close to their places of residence in the morning and dropped inside the school campus.

In the evening, after school hours they shall be picked up from inside their school campus and dropped back close to their homes.

Only students shall be allowed to board these buses. It is hoped that this will enhance the safety of the students and ensure comfortable travel as they shall get to be seated along the entire journey.

In short, it will function as a school bus for the Government school children.

South Tamil Nadu to be in Alert today to tomorrow. Chennai some more short intense spells will happen till evening then the rains will fade off. Interior most districts will get rains as the low moves via GoM to Arabia Sea by tomorrow.

Coutrallam, Kodai in Tourist spot will get heavy rains. Madurai, Virudhunagar, Theni, Thenkasi, Dindigul, Thoothukudi and Ramanathpuram Pudukottai, Sivaganga all has chance of very heavy rains. Delta has chance of heavy rains.

Most interior districts, Kongu belt around kovai, Salem, Erode, Nilgiris will also get heavy rains.

Overall a very good day for entire Tamil Nadu.

Trekkers can rejoice. Tamil Nadu Forest Department is coming up with an online trekking trails Atlas to enable people to go on their favorite treks in beautiful TN by booking treks online. Initially 40 trekking routes will be made online. These are already existing trekking trails which have been reworked with local community to be jointly operated by them and TN Forest Dept professionally.
