I have noticed that some drivers of Uber, Ola, Rapido, Swiggy, and Zomato watch Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, or even live matches while driving. This puts both drivers and customers at risk.

A possible solution is to introduce a Driver Safety Mode in captain apps that blocks social media and video streaming apps during active trips or deliveries.

This small update could help reduce distracted driving and save lives.

Every customer hopes to reach home safely. Every driver hopes to return home to their family.

Yet, I’ve seen some Uber, Ola, Rapido, Swiggy, and Zomato drivers watching Reels, YouTube videos, or live matches while driving. A few seconds of distraction can change lives forever.

I urge the Telangana Government and these companies to introduce a Driver Safety Mode that temporarily disables social media and video apps during active rides and deliveries.

No Reel. No video. No match.
