Gen Z isn’t less ambitious than previous generations. They just refuse to dedicate their whole life to one career that might not end up giving them the life they want.
Perplexity Computer replaced $225K/yr in marketing tools in a single weekend.
We built an AI marketing agent that scans hourly, manages budgets, detects fatigue, and coordinates several campaigns end to end.
In one test run, it made 224 micro-optimizations to our ad stack.
you can instantly 10x your vibecoded frontends by just learning what different ui components are called
ofc opus is creating generic slop, the only words you know are menu and button.
Layoffs at big tech are bound to happen. Here’s my POV 👇🏼
Big tech always had too many people. During my time there, I and my co-workers felt:
- too many people
- too many layers
- excessive approvals
With AI, startups are hiring like crazy, expanding, and challenging big tech more than ever.
They need to move fast, and it just can’t happen with so many layers and people. I feel bad for everyone, but I dare say this is just the beginning of cutting the excess.
If you are at a startup that ships and makes money, you probably are the safest right now.
@mo9is@akshaymarch7 Maybe the focus should shift from chasing a bigger lifestyle to building stability, freedom, and real options with the money we earn.
Emergency fund. Low debt. Smart long-term investing. Continuous upskilling. That’s the real moat.
@mo9is@akshaymarch7 Absolutely. Financial literacy was never optional to begin with.
A high salary without financial awareness is like code without error handling. It works until it crashes, The real risk isn’t layoffs, it’s high fixed expenses, constant lifestyle upgrades, and no fallback...
unpopular opinion:
your engineering degree is not about react, next.js, rust or the shiny new framework
it’s about core cs fundamentals like networking, operating systems, low level architecture, data and databases, system design, maths, etc
easy to learn the former through bootcamps, youtube and side projects but learning the latter requires years of studies, efforts and time
you might think the latter is not important because you did not need it in x years but believe me all that is very important when you want to innovate and build actual core engineering stuff from scratch up and not projects/products on top of existing core stuff
eg - building a dapp or project on top of a blockchain is easy and can be learned over the weekend but even a bachelor degree is not sufficient when you want to build an entire new blockchain that does something different from existing ones
these core engineers mostly stay away from limelight, they don’t make as much as tech entrepreneurs building products but despite that it’s their passion for engineering that they choose this path and enable engineers like us to build products on top of their work
they are the one who drive innovation, engineering and tech forward and we take their work to the masses through our projects/products
we need both type of engineers for a thriving society
@SwiggyCares@Swiggy@SwiggyInstamart Even after numerous emails and tweets, I have received no feedback from Swiggy, and no one has even attempted to reach out to me regarding the issue. There's no option inside the app to connect with an executive this is so frustating! @SwiggyCares@SwiggyInstamart@Swiggy
@SwiggyCares I’ve been sending follow-up emails every day for the past four days, but there has been no response from Swiggy. What a pathetic customer service experience! @SwiggyCares@Swiggy@SwiggyInstamart
