How have we not yet learned that anime doesn’t translate into live action? The rules of the two mediums are way too incompatible. Anime gets away with/to some extent depends on disregarding rules of logic and physics, for one thing.
People love using the term unskilled labor as a way of looking down on people who are doing the jobs that are required for society to function. It makes some people feel better about themselves while also ignoring the fact these people aren’t paid enough to live in that society.
Recommending anime is hard because every anime has some amount of anime bullshit and it's hard to know what someone's threshold for specific types of anime bullshit is unless you know them extremely well.
@G0ffThew I appreciate your videos so much and am always excited to see a new one posted. From deeper dives celebrating shows I already love (JJK, Iruma) to early season recs for shows I’d otherwise miss (Odd Taxi, currently), watching your videos is part of my anime experience.
"Instead of giving you what it knows you want, [Jujutsu Kaisen] uses that knowledge to bait you, then twists it into something horrifyingly different, just to hurt you, and somehow it's always better than what you asked for in the end." @G0ffThew on JJK
TLDR: “I didn’t want to copy my father’s iconic animation style so instead I’m copying Pixar’s.” I’m not a Ghibli stan but if I was these plastic action figure character renderings would make me scream.
@LACaldwellDC@SpeakerPelosi This is a very, very bad look for any elected leader who attends, right now especially, when people are being implored to forgo holiday gatherings and, oh yeah, people are still dying. You don’t get to mock one super spreader event and then cozy on up in another.

Don't say untrue things like "the entire system is broken." It's just as big a lie as "the election was rigged and Trump didn't lose."
