@steinkobbe @benshapiro it doesn't work that way if it did, it wouldn't be considered A.I. Just like humans the software also runs on a hierarchy of values. Humans programmed the software with the value that "discrimination is bad" at the top of its values, which is why it responded the way it did.

also please re read the script. the prompt ask the "chat bot" for a yes or no answer not to "say slurs." so the idea that its programmed to not say slurs doesn't even make any sense. thats if it were just a "chat bot."

I'm sure we can agree that even if the software is still at its infant stages seeing it prioritize not hurting people's feeling over peoples lives is "concerning."
