Strange how Western academics, far from Syria, feel entitled to lecture us about what happened and what should have happened. This isn’t neutrality, it’s a new kind of colonization of knowledge. Listen to local scholars first.
I am recruiting two graduate students (MS or PhD) interested in computational hydrology for Fall 2025 to join my newly established a.c.t. hydro lab (https://t.co/wSedPmIaYo) @UBuffalo@SUNY! Please share widely! More details can be found here: https://t.co/mmuMNtwojq
Two fully funded PhD student opportunities are available in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University. Our lab will focus on deep learning, control, and sensing technologies, with precision agriculture and robotics applications.
Pleased to share our new research about forecasting agricultural water quality from rainfall ions in Central Europe using machine learning lead by @safwanmohammed4 published in Agricultural Water Management. #agriculture#MachineLearning#SDGs

This advice doesn’t take into account different cultural norms, #firstgen students who have never learned nor been exposed to academics, and/or students who don’t have mentors to help them with letters.
Academia is hard enough, no need to pile on the gatekeeping behavior.

Some cultivated regions of Syria are badly degraded due to poor #soil management. There has been little #research due to the current conflict, however this study explored how cover crops could reduce #soil erosion in the area.
