@katienolan I hope this makes you as happy as it made me embarrassed…I’m a lawyer, and in court on the record, the Judge said “Allegedly” exactly how you like you, and I laughed out loud and now we’re here…thanks @katienolan 🤦🏻♂️🙈🤷🏻♂️😂⚰️
Nearly three years before a gunman walked into a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, and killed 10 people, the city voted to ban assault weapons. But just 10 days before Monday’s rampage, the measure was blocked after a lawsuit backed by the NRA. https://t.co/sDsjKQZUvd
Holy. Shit.
Boulder, Colorado passed an assault weapons ban in 2018.
The NRA sued the city and a judge struck down the ban 10 DAYS GO.
The Boulder shooter bought the gun 6 DAYS before the shooting.
These deaths were the direct result of the NRA’s intervention.
Getting back to normal in America cannot mean getting back to regular mass shootings.
My heart goes out to the 10 families grieving in Colorado today.
We simply can't let this continue to be who we are.
Me: Calls to refill birth control on day 21 of 28 day pack because I’m going on vacation. Told I need a prior auth from insurance company to refill before day 25.
Also me: Walks into a gun store because I’m having a bad day and walks out with a gun 10 min later.
Week after week, month after month, year after year – the gun violence doesn't end. And things won't get better until Democrats get rid of the filibuster and finally pass gun safety legislation that a huge majority of Americans support. What are we waiting for – another tragedy?
253 bills across 43 states have been introduced to restrict voting access, despite little evidence of voter fraud. We have had 7 mass shootings in the last week and only offer thoughts and prayers. In America, Black/brown people voting is considered more dangerous than guns.
