I think I get Chimamanda’s obsession with hair and textures now. The singular most effective way imo to tell if someone (male or female) is ethnic or black without seeing their face is by looking at their hair.

Nigeria is by far one of the most advanced jurisdictions in Africa when it comes to progressive law making. Won’t be surprised if someone is already writing an AI Bill somewhere. The problem with Nigeria has never been the lack of laws, the problem has always been the lack of implementation and consequences when actors don’t comply. I also don’t think regulators have a full appreciation for ‘unintended consequences’.
