A9:They are characterized as people who are selfish & don't care who they hurt. They each smashed relationships in the novel. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A8: Maybe they are talking about how the death of Myrtle impacted the death of Gatsby and George. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

@sowen22 I like this title bc throughout the whole book people are cheating on each other and that affects how the story ends. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

@tessllnc I like this because it makes the books seem more interesting and makes a reader want to read it. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

@laurenef16 I agree with this because the whole novel is focuesd on Gatsby and his relationship with Daisy. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A7: They are all lost in the idea that money means everything and they need to live the American Dream. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A6: It is a love story with American ideals because most of the story focuses on relationships between the characters. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A5: The book should be named "Dead Money" because being rich changed the characters and made them not care about who they hurt. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A4:When Gatsby meet Daisy it was raining, this symbolizes the cleansing of the past & the past 5 years they didn't have together. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A3: True because Nick is a pretty real guy and he says things as they are. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A2:Nick is involved in the story at first, but as the book goes on he isn't involved in the actual story, just the telling of it. #jgatschat

[Sage Olnowich @sageolno]

A1: I don't think Gatsby is great because he only does things that will benefit himself or Daisy. His greatness does not evolve. #jgatschat
