A9: They seem a lot better then they were at the beginning. They seem to have put up their affairs and started over. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A8: Daisy and Tom could be talking about both of their affairs and maybe coming up with a compromise because they both cheated. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@sam_kastel Like I said to Sarah I think it could be both! There is lots of love and drama that leads up to Gatsby's death.

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@sowen22 I honestly think it could be both. There is lots of serious drama throughout the whole book.

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@sageolno This is true, but he is one of the people who finds Gatsby and Wilson dead. So that's pretty involved isn't it? #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A6: I think it's a satire because Gatsby is this supposed to be this great American guy, but he dies in the end... #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A5: My new title for the book would be "Death of The American Dream". It has a little foreshadowing which adds mystery! #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@MelAlterSmith In some parts of his life he is not great, but in the money and fame part of his life he is very extravagant. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A4: Weather is symbolic. For example when Gatsby stands in the rain. It is an example of a rebirth for him and his relationship. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@laurenef16 This is a very true! Had Nick ever lied throughout the book though?

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A3: True because all of the other characters lie very often. Tom, Daisy, Myrtle, and Gatsby are all having affairs. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@carsyn_yates I think he's also great in the way he presents and carries himself. He's a very honored man, an Oxford man. ;)

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A2: Nick is reserved and quiet at the beginning. He keeps to himself and doesn't have friends. He changes when he meets Gatsby. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

@sowen22 I think characters like Tom and Daisy could be lost in this sense, but wasn't Gatsby, himself, in the war? #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A1: I think Gatsby is great. He is living rich and fabulous! He is a pure picture of the American Dream! #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A7: They seem lost because they don't seem to know what to do in their lives. They are all lost in the wealth and power. #jgatschat

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A3: To graduate #lncsmith7

[Sarah Owen @sowen22]

A2- Tess is a pretty good friend and I don't hate her #lncsmith7

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A2: I think Sarah is a great friend and she's always there for me in difficult situations :) #lncsmith7

[Tess Landon @tessllnc]

A1: My favorite thing about LNC is the great friends I've made throughout the years #lncsmith7
