According to information received from a source close to the family, #DianaTaherabadi, a 16 year old student, was arrested at her home in Karaj on Bahman 14, 1404 February 3, 2026 and may be facing a possible death sentence.

The source said that around 8 a.m., five officers wearing law enforcement uniforms entered the house. It is reported that one of them held a rank. Immediately after entering, the officers confiscated the family members’ phones to prevent any communication. Diana was asleep when they arrived. They went directly upstairs to her room and arrested her after telling her to put on her coat.

Reports indicate that the teenager was handcuffed, taken into a van, and transferred to Kachouei Prison. She was also taken to the Karaj courthouse, where the possibility of a death sentence was raised. However, no further details, including the name of the presiding judge, have been disclosed to the family.

According to the source, Diana has also been referred to a forensic medical examiner for an evaluation of her “mental competence.” Now, about a month after her arrest, her family has expressed serious concern about her condition and the risk of a death sentence being issued.
