The SAHA 6th Annual Convention kicked off this morning at Safari Resort in Borama, hosted by @AmoudUniversity.
As part of SAHA's commitment to strengthening Somaliland's healthcare system, the convention aims to enhance the capacity of local health professionals by providing the latest evidence-based clinical knowledge. The convention brings together experienced Somaliland specialists from around the world to share their expertise and the latest advances in clinical practice with local physicians and healthcare professionals.
For the past three years, the convention has focused on the latest updates in the prevention and management of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), recognizing them as one of the most pressing public health challenges facing both Somaliland and the global community.
Participants who complete the convention may claim up to 13 AAFP Prescribed Credits, accepted by the American Medical Association (AMA) as equivalent to 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Dr. Madar (SAHA President) and Dr.Max Fraden continued to teach POCUS to local GPs. This time, four GPs in Hargeisa Group Hospital took the intensive four-week POCUS training. We left three Butterfly Ultrasound probes to be used in the Surgery department, ICU, and NCD clinic.
We completed our healthcare convention today and the amount of untapped talent in the healthcare field is remarkable. We are super proud of everyone involved. Missed it? More events to come! Follow @sahaorg & visit https://t.co/J8G31rs8Yn to stay in the loop. #Somaliland
