The thing about Carmelo Hayes with me as well is that he’s the definition of a total package, he checks every box. He’s versatile, can play both a great heel or babyface. I watched most of his US Title reign in one sitting, and the way he works from underneath as a babyface is up there with the best WWE. That United States Championship run is still one of my favorite individual runs from a wrestler this year. It was so awesome seeing Melo build his momentum, put on MOTN and continuously get the crowd on his side every week. As soon as he got the opportunity to make something out of his Main Roster career, he capitalized.

Often times people critique WWE audiences for not properly reacting to great matches, but Melo was so incredible that he’d receive standing ovations during his bouts, on top of already being over as a character. So not only is he, in my opinion a, top 10 wrestler on the main roster, but he also has the ability to tell great stories with anyone. He’s also one of the coolest wrestlers in the entire company, it’s like he has “superstar” written on his forehead. Not having him at WrestleMania, not having him involved whatsoever with the MITB, not having him on television for over a month when the audience was clearly backing him is just so puzzling.

Maybe something ends up shaking, making all of this feel worthwhile, I just hope the best
