There is a genuine scamming menace and the police or government just don't seem to care. It's not normal that daily we are getting calls of impersonators and we just ignore it. Imagine if daily we would be facing mugging attempts on the street, because it's just that, a crime attempt which we managed to avoid.
Yesterday within an hour two people in my circle experienced a phone hacking scam and a parcel scam. The narrative is all about 'satark rahiye' and what not putting the onus on individuals rather than doing something about it. At this point it feels like we are on our own.
