Under initiative of Government of WB a survey is being done to revive Behala Airfield to operate short haul 9 seater flight and air ambulance from here. A drone arial survey is done, some encroachments are there within its area and boundary demarcation walls are exists mostly.

West Bengal CM asked urban affairs department to prepare a DPR on the metro services that can be expanded into cities more than 2.5M population as per in line with centre policy. It will be a good initiative to decongest Kolkata.

@MrSen2006 These whole Kolkata Metropolitan region needs to be developed not only Caltutta District. from north to south east bank like from Dankuni to Newtown whole area should be covered like a major city, KMC area is very small considering 200 sq km.

Government of India today approved two railway projects in West Bengal.
● Santragachi to Kharagpur 4th Line
● Sainthia - Pakur 4th Line
The total estimated project cost is around 4474 cr and it will be completed by 2031. It is planned to boost freight and passenger connectivity
