"Neela Megha Shyama"
As Dark as the Rain Filled Cloud.
Probably the most beautiful image of Maha Vishnu that I have ever seen.
I could never understand our culture's obsession with fairness.
A nice standup by Sai Kiran, but also pretty profound.

The green shift in India 🇮🇳 - half of power sector is now renewables.
2026 was the first year in modern history when India produced more power from renewables than from fossil fuels.
51% of the grid is fueled by solar, wind, hydro and other renewables.
India is the third largest producer of solar and wind energy in the world. I will not be surprised if in the future India passes the US to the second spot.
The shift will speed up as an effect of the war in the Strait of Hormuz. The sun is Indian, the wind is Indian, the rivers are Indian. When a drop of oil is replaces with renewables the nation becomes more energy independent.

As a Muslim, I find it strange how ‘annihilate Hinduism’ is packaged as academic discussion. Try flipping the religion and see how fast the global response comes.
If annihilation of a religion becomes acceptable language, we’ve already failed the idea of coexistence.

We've uploaded a fruit fly. We took the @FlyWireNews connectome of the fruit fly brain, applied a simple neuron model (@Philip_Shiu Nature 2024) and used it to control a MuJoCo physics-simulated body, closing the loop from neural activation to action.
A few things I want to say about what this means and where we're going at @eonsys. 🧵
Very positive development: India 🇮🇳 and Canada 🇨🇦 reset ties.
In the shadow of the Iran war, there are also good news coming: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney just visited Delhi and met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At a critical time in global politics the world needs adult leaders. Modiji and Carney are among the most exciting leaders we have at this moment.
India and Canada agreed:
* An economic partnership agreement will be signed this year
* Canada will supply uranium to India
* The countries will expand academic partnerships and increase exchange of students and researchers.
Prime Minister Carneys approach is such a refreshing change from his predecessor who was so arrogant he never lost an opportunity to lecture India - whether it was interference in domestic Indian policies like agriculture or the Khalistan issue.
Well done India and Canada!
Renewables are key to energy security in India 🇮🇳 - and globally!
The Raisina Dialogue is opening in Delhi. Raisina is the number one Indian forum for foreign policy exchanges. The timing could not be more prudent with the backdrop of the Iran war.
I attended an opening panel on climate and geopolitics.
It’s a lot to celebrate in India. The nation last year become the third largest renewable producer. Coal emissions declined for the first time. Good policies from the Modi government and a vibrant business scene is driving rapid development of solar, wind and hydropower.
And of course the sun is Indian, the wind is Indian and the rivers are Indian. Whenever India develops renewables it becomes a little less vulnerable for global market volatility or issues like potential closing of the Hormuz strait.
Finland President Stubb calls for a world order that contains power. Grand opening of Raisina Dialogue.
It’s truly exciting to attend the Raisina Dialogue - Indias 🇮🇳foremost foreign policy forum - in Delhi.
Timing couldn’t be more appropriate, with Washington becoming the new epicenter of global chaos.
1200 delegates got their visits aborted due to cancelled air travel due to the Iran war.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb was chief guest at the opening - in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and foreign minister Jaishankar. Top leaders from across the world are in attendance.
Stubb called for a new San Francisco moment. In 1945 the world come together to found the UN. Now its time to form a new rules based global order.
Stubb asked us to drop illusions of a perfect world, but to create a world order which contains power.
He told us to all become more Indian. We must learn from history and India is a good place to start. India has since independence built its foreign policy on a broad platform - not aligning only on the goodwill of one power or bloc.
The Wests holiday with history is over, Stubb said. The time of Western dominance is now more, even if it takes time for the West to let it sink in. Europe must learn from India that passivity is not a strategy.
He referred to Jaishankars famous quote that Europe must move beyond the mindset that "Europe's problems are the world's problems, but the world's problems are not Europe's problems"
Stubb said we normally make three mistakes. We over rationalize the past, we overstate the current problems and we underestimate the future. It’s time for a bit more optimism. Together we can and must create a new cooperative world order
Nearly all economic growth now happens in the Global South - the dominance of China 🇨🇳 and India 🇮🇳!
Take a look at the numbers!
The top European Union 🇪🇺 nation last year was number ten of the fastest growing economies in volume, much lower in percent terms.
The world of growth is totally dominated by China, India and the Global South.
Its also well worth taking note of the stellar performance of Vietnam 🇻🇳 and Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦.
The rise of the South of course is good - it creates a fairer, greener and more prosperous world.
But it is also a warning signal to Europe - unless we start becoming competitive we will end up as a wonderful historical museum.
Norway 🇳🇴 won most Gold in Winter Olympics - here is why.
Norway, with less than six million people, have won more gold medals than any nation in Italy Olympics. We can celebrate. We are the superpower of Sports.
It’s easy to explain Norway’s dominance in Winter sports with weather and geography.
More extraordinary is it that fotballers like Haaland and Ødegaard, some of the best athlets, tennis and golf players and a lot more also call Norway home.
How did this happen?
My friend Inge Andersen explains why in this «Leadership Lessons from Sports». Its all about social power:

Gone too soon. Just 30. A sudden heart attack.
He tried for years to get picked in the #H1B lottery, but never got selected.
Now his grieving parents are struggling to bring him home and perform the final rites. They need support.
