As per your delivery date if not delivered you should make some compensation. Delay apologies will not work.

Never seen an officer on a ship ask for extra or special food, but every captain I've worked with has requested off-menu dishes from the steward and cook. Special meals, fresh fruits—like they’re above everyone else. They're not even the 'master' on board. Pathetic.

@MrPropulsionPro Very true , one of my ship even a master never used to come down to the messroom, only he wants service in his cabin. Resulted i found himself stuck near the galley unable to find a way to go to the gangway, just because his everyday route was cabin to bridge and bridge to cabin.

When I joined sea 26 Years back, there were only 3 drills we had to do.

Abandon Ship drill
Fire drill
SOPEP drill

All the 3 drills were done so religiously. Apart from that trainings were done by safety officer as per the requirements identified by him.

Now there are so many drill in the drill-planner that drills onboard are becoming more of a paper exercise.

@rajeevjassal Totally agreed, just because office staff requires some work to do , they are more likely to increase paper work onboard instead of focusing on safety of the vessel and crew, which needs to be done throughly instead of onpapers .

The recommendation for minimum size of a Jail cell in a US Prison is 8 sq. Meter.

The minimum size of crew cabin required as per MLC is 4.5 Sq. Meter for vessels less than 3000 GT and 7 Sq meter for vessels more than 10000 GT.
