@ViratBharat Nice but can hear the same via assistant also right?
By invoking the assistant and diving example 24000 (24kw Tiago LR) / average usage, can hear the info instead of having to use the phone?Would really really appreciate any app to calculate soh instead since that is complicated
Visualization shows cross sectional view of South #Chennai's topography. Let's understand the geography of the city to develop a better understanding of the floods. Read full tweet :)
1. Chennai is an extremely flat land (50m rise over 15,000m run) in this section for example
2. Some of the areas can be below sea level during times of rain when the sea surges due to weather systems in the Bay of Bengal
3. It is not just that the land is at lower level and flat, but the sea over the time has created geomorphological features which favour stagnation in some places. The beach in Chennai extended over thousands of the years and these created mounds. Because of this, some of the interior land became marshy wetlands whereas the coast acted as barriers. OMR and ECR are those high lands created by the sea locking Pallikaranai and other interior areas. The British used these geomorphological features to construct the Buckingham canal which was sheltered from the open sea and thus able to run in parallel to the sea.
Unfortunately, we had a poor understanding of the geography and the geomorphology of the region - a problem that we have across India. Rapid urbanization in these critical areas have resulted in "floods". Undoing this is not going to be an easy task.
@CMOTamilnadu Sir request you to kindly write to the concerned ministry highlighting how bad this decision is. @SuVe4Madurai, @KPCinParliament please raise this in the upcoming monsoon. It is tax payer's money that is used for this infrastructure. Why should public not benefit?
@BigotAllergicus@ChennaiRains That's the problem. Many people start crying wolf when it doesn't get "flooded". All that excess buying of veggies becomes a rant. Being prepared is way safer than feeling sorry later right? Not everyone get that.
@chennaicorp your workers in Prakasam Salai, Broadway cleaned the roads for namesake after metro water pipe work and left all the debris as is. They just took a video of the cleaned area and left remaining areas as is.
Swd grills also affected and in Apathy.
@Iyankarthikeyan will such shoddy news also come under the fact check unit that you're heading? Such articles from news media only create panic about #chennairains and almost all of @ThanthiTV's weather news is always designed purposely to create panic.

@sumanthraman@ChennaiRains@chennaicorp This was not the case in Parrys(Chennai). There were some pretty intense steady spell which lasted for more than an hour.
Whether it was 3 or 4cms too soon to judge without rg numbers.
@chennaicorp@ChennaiRains nice to see workers already attending to waterlogging in Parrys it but how's it possible for water logging right on top of newly laid storm water drain???
This is the 1st spell of heavy rains & already so much water logging in Parrys. #chennairains
@chennaicorp thank you for fixing this, all the open spaces are now filled and thanks for the speedy resolution of this longstanding issue. @ChennaiRains
@chennaicorp the storm water drain work in Prakasam Salai is complete near our premises but workers refuse to clear debris & fill the vacant areas. This is leading to severe water logging. Repeated complaints via twitter & Namma Chennai app is of no resolution @ChennaiRains
@chennaicorp storm water drain in Prakasam salai/Parrys laid without flooring in many places and areas surroundings not filled with sand either. Repeated complaints via Namma Chennai app not getting addressed either.
@omjasvinTOI @chennaicorp I'm from Parrys & in many stretches they've laid storm water drains without any base flooring to make quick progress. The dug areas are also just filled with sand which will get simply washed away in upcoming rains. @chennaicorp doesn't care for possible road cave in incidents.
As #Rains reduce over #TamilNadu including #Chennai a pair of circulations on either side of peninsular #India continue to keep the spotlight on #NEM2022. A #COMK update on why it makes sense to take 48 hours at a time while tracking the LPA now currently over Equatorial Bay.
