A well-performing govt elevates its citizens' baseline quality of life, which paradoxically accelerates their impatience for even faster progress, leaving them vulnerable to challengers who use charismatic perception management rather than proven performance.
Prashna Ravan may have gone to jail as an activist, but he will come back as a leader.

I continue to look forward to the day when India rejects Hindutva and begins to rebuild from its current catastrophe. That will involve reckoning with how the state treated its own...

Before 2014, India had politically aware citizens who used to protest against govt for fuel prices, LPG prices & unemployment
Now, we have Zomb!es who are okay with Ethanol blended petrol, price hikes and still defend govt.
Wish they channeled this level of outrage and policing towards the filth that they themselves dump into Ganga to make it one of the most polluted major rivers in the world.

Never before the distinction of who is a HINDU and who is a SANGHI so clear, so obvious, so trivial.
🕉️Hindu: Temple LOOT is wrong, it's a crime and PAAP
🎃Sanghi: Whataboutery 101
@harlynn_12 If I don't get full nights sleep I find it difficult to be productive the next day. Not getting enough sleep can only be a flex only for those who pretend to work - performative presenteism, be it our supreme leader or that colleague who guilt trips you when you leave sharp at 5.
After a certain age, people should have solid principles they live by. Those principles should be grounded in objective morality and justice, and people should stand by those even when it’s difficult or even when they are the only ones standing by them.
Take Nazi Germany as an example. It was illegal to hide Jewish people, yet many still hid and protected them because morality is above any human-made law. Because saving people is always the moral choice.
Slavery is wrong regardless of the century. Genocide is wrong regardless of who commits it. Rape is wrong regardless of who does it. Killing innocent civilians is wrong regardless of which side they're on. Cruelly killing stray dogs is wrong, no matter how afraid you are of them.
The first step towards developing your own principles is education. Not just in STEM but also in history, literature, philosophy, and ethics. These subjects teach us how countries rise and fall, how propaganda works, and how to develop critical thinking skills. Only then can you see the context of things happening. When you see history repeating itself, then you can differentiate between right and wrong.
People should have the courage to call out wrongdoing even when it's unpopular. Human beings are meant to think independently. This is how we can save our country from propaganda.
