I am officially nominating Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) for the Nobel Peace Prize.
No President in History has ended the same war so many times.
Our Dear Leader has ended the war with Iran at least 38 times by CNN’s count.
No President has ever done this before.
And he is nowhere near finished ending it.
It’s a record worthy of the Nobel committee’s recognition. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Big up this lad. He went to the Tommy Robinson march in Braintree, and he eloquently cooked them
"Tommy Robinson is a piece of work.. I believe in humanity.. I don't agree with any of these political pigs. This isn't left vs right. This isn't Black vs white. This is UP vs DOWN"
In the years I’ve been making Stuff The British Stole, the biggest lesson for me has been how much history hides behind politeness—polite plaques, polite speeches, polite monarchs.
I don’t have Lidia Thorpe's life experience, and it’s not appropriate for me to offer commentary on her actions.
But let’s be clear on one thing: the British Empire was not a polite enterprise. Like most, it was built on conquest, power, and, yes, things were truly stolen. Many things that have not been returned or in some cases even acknowledged.
It was not a polite empire.
In Bathurst for a very important corroboree to commemorate the bicentenary of this day, August 14 in 1824 when martial law was imposed on the Wiradjuri people in Bathurst.
This is the first corroboree on top of Mount Panorama for many, many decades.
Here to learn about the colony-sanctioned slaughter of Aboriginal people in this area as part of what’s now known as the ‘frontier wars.’
The Wiradjuri call it the ‘homeland wars’ since it was their home.
Today’s a good day to read about what happened, learn more about our shared history. And historical truths we were never taught.
Only through truth and understanding can we heal and come together.
When inequality and corruption raged in the Gilded Age, we took action:
-Antitrust was used to break up monopolies
-Taxes were passed to stop wealth hoarding
-Corporations were forbidden from directly giving money to politicians and candidates.
We can do it all again.
@churchjamsnow In a recent episode, might have been Newsboys episode, you struggled to name another Australian Band. Thought you might be interested to know that today is #ausmusictshirtday which should be a national holiday.
