This is exactly the problem, but there’s no point trying to convince you because your own argument gives you away.

The GOAT debate has never been about just goals, trophies, Ballons d’Or or the World Cup. Those are achievements they complement greatness, they don’t create it.

What Messi offers on a football pitch is why he’s regarded as the greatest. His trophies and individual awards don’t define his legacy they simply reinforce what the game has already shown us.
