A lot of words here but none that indicate a single reason for the ICE agent to have pulled the trigger. If previously committing a felony justified getting shot for no other reason, we would no longer live in a democracy based on the rule of law. This statement all but admits that there was no absolutely no legitimate reason to shoot.

ICE has hired thousands of unqualified, unvetted, untrained new agents, and this is yet another example of how this administration is breaking the law.

The United States Attorney must immediately investigate this as a potential crime committed well outside the duties and responsibilities of the agent. There must be accountability.
