Our grantee partner @SakhiNYC just released their 2022 impact report! We're proud to support their work to create transformational, lasting change in the South Asian diaspora through serving survivors of gender-based violence.
Today, we ground our remembrance in the life of Mandeep Kaur, a 30-year-old Sikh Punjabi woman, whom we lost to gender-based violence in August 2022. Mandeep was a beloved mother of two, and her passing reminds us of our shared responsibility to cultivate safety.
Today, we uplift the inspiring life of Sania Khan, a 29-year-old, Pakistani American woman, whom we lost to gun and gender-based violence in July 2022. Friends describe Sania as “liquid sunshine” — a talented photographer, deeply supportive friend, and a fierce advocate.
