🗻 The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said about Uhud:

“This is a mountain which loves us and we love it.” — Sahih al-Bukhari

It was a nice opportunity for the group to see Uhud first-hand and reflect on some of the events that took place there during the lifetime of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Alhamdulillaah, in Madinah our brothers went to pray in the masjid of Shaykh ‘Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbaad حفظه الله.

The Shaykh seemed well, alhamdulillaah, may Allaah preserve him and continue to benefit the Muslims through his knowledge and works.

Alhamdulillaah, before leaving Makkah, our ‘Umrah group enjoyed an istiraahah together, with camel meat, karak and mint tea, enjoying one another’s company and benefitting from a reminder by Ustaadh Abdul Hakeem Mitchell.

We then bid farewell to Makkah and began our journey to Madinah. The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, addressing Makkah:

“By Allaah! You are the best of the lands of Allaah, and the best land of Allaah to Allaah! And were it not for the fact that I was expelled from you, I would never have left you.”

Reported authentically by at-Tirmidhee (no. 3925), from ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Adiyy رضي الله عنه; translation by Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul-Waahid.

This year, we chose to travel from Makkah to Madinah on the Haramain High-Speed Railway, making the onward journey easier and more comfortable for our guests.

May Allaah accept our time and worship in Makkah, bless our time in Madinah.

Bismillāh wal-ḥamdulillāh,

To our brothers and sisters from Ahlus-Sunnah, near and far: as-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever does not thank the people has not thanked Allāh.” (Abū Dāwūd)

We begin by thanking Allāh, for it is by His aid and His enabling alone that anything was achieved, and then we thank you — every one of you who gave. By the tawfīq of Allāh first, and then through your support, the Markaz Rabīʿ appeal has been completed in full. May Allāh reward you with much good, accept it from you all, and build for you houses in Paradise. Āmīn!

We thank our brothers and sisters who are contributing through their du'ās and donations, may Allāh bless you all. We also thank those working tirelessly behind the scenes to get these doors open to the community as soon as possible.

May Allāh accept your efforts and make you all from the people mentioned in this beautiful narration of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ:

“Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, even if it is like a bird’s nest or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” [Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah 609]

This weekend, be one of the 100 people who give £100. £10,000 takes Markaz Rabee into its final stages. May Allāh bless it.

Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādi al-Wādi’ī رحمه الله تعالى:

"And we advise the people of the Sunnah to make themselves distinct, and to build for themselves mosques — even if [made] of mud bricks or of palm fronds.

For they will not be able to spread the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ except by being distinct; otherwise the people of innovation will not leave them [free] to spread the Sunnah."
