Sometimes an invasive species is right outside your classroom. We found these flathead worms outside this week and it was a great opportunity for students to see and learn about invasive species. School yards are a great place to experience science! ⁦@inaturalist⁩

Don’t think there’s much biodiversity in your schoolyard? Try putting down an old piece of plywood in a shady spot. You’ll be surprised what you’ll find! It’s easy, inexpensive, and you never know what you will find. #citizenscience outside your classroom door!

Winter time #Citizenscience project to determine life in our school pond and it’s health. Micro Citizen Science has a big student “WOW” factor. If your looking to add some inquiry and place based to your Cell unit, start with a drop of pond water.
