Hey #PortfolioDay!
My name is Duarte, I'm a freelance pixelartist!
I love animating characters and bringing concepts to life.
Fascinated with using pixelart in 3D environments.
Please check my bio for more artwork and my profile for my own gamedev adventures (:
Here's our #PitchYaGame entry for upcoming Action-RPG #AlabasterDawn
⚔️Fight enemies using 8 different weapons
🌳Revive Nature and witness the landscape change
🏘️Watch as villages and towns are rebuilt and grow further
🧩Dungeons filled with battles and puzzles
@Emppixel One of the struggles I had with the game at first was the lack of direction/knowing what's moving the character forward at the start.
Then you start uncovering small pieces of lore and understanding the world a bit better. I got VERY invested
It's now one of my favorite games
It wouldn't be a @RadicalFishGame game without some elemental puzzling.
The first dungeon of #AlabasterDawn has players juggle around orbs of energy to activate or unlock paths and switches. #gamedev
A peak at the next lowpoly project I'm working on my free time!
Hoping @L_AnonymeDev_ will make some nice music for it in the future (:
Take a look at his work if you're an indie looking for a composer! 🎵🎶❤️
Yo. I'm at the new place, sharing snippets of my latest side project.
Won't be sharing any art here, for the time being.
At least over there, if someone scraps my work to train Al, it'll be against my consent.
I'm loving it so far.❤️
Less rage bait, more wholesomeness!✨see ya

After popular demand, I went ahead and made the pots' health proportional to it's sizes.
Should feel a little bit less frustrating now, I hope :P

@ThePixelPigeon If you're into mixing 3D with 2D stuff, it's very easy to set up billboards and stuff. There's also a node called Sprite3D.
My favorite part about the engine is just how lightweight and easy it feels. Makes development quite joyful, despite the hurdles of learning something new
@TofuPixel This piece looks incredible. I love the mood.
Absolutely love the composition too, which is something I'd really like to study some more...
Do you have any recommendations on where we could learn a bit about composition?
@OramaInteractiv Oooooh, there's a 3D shape tool??
This would be mighty useful for things like isometric scenes...
I have to try and port it to Android again!
