NCIC led by Deputy Director Legal Services, Mr. Kyalo Mwengi, is in Samburu County to launch policy documents in collaboration with @UNDPKenya and @KOICAKenya. Alongside a representative from the Inter-Religious Council of Kenya (IRCK), the team met with key stakeholders, including National Government Administration Officers (NGAO), CBOs, and FBOs to roll out the Social Media Monitoring Guidelines and the Kenya National Action Plan (KNAP) Against Hate Speech and Radical Ideologies. These collaborative efforts actively strengthen Kenya’s peace infrastructure and promote lasting social cohesion across the region.

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission, in partnership with @UNDPKenya and @KOICAKenya, launched a report in Samburu County titled Assessing Gendered Impacts and Policy Responses to Dangerous Speech and Radicalization in Kenya.

The team led by Deputy Director Knowledge Management, Ms. Jane Kamau alongside @irck_info representative Mr. Salim Charo, met with key stakeholders to roll out the findings, which analyze how harmful narratives affect different genders, evaluate current policy effectiveness, and guide future interventions.

Building Peace Beyond Borders

From 13–23 January 2026, stakeholders from #Kenya and #Somalia convened in Nairobi for a 10-day bilateral PCVE training, shifting the focus from hard power to community-led, policy-driven soft power approaches.

The engagement explored emerging radicalisation trends, early warning signs, peaceful coexistence, mental health, and the critical role of women as leaders in #PCVE, not just participants.

Closing the training, @NCTC_Kenya Director General Mr. Kibiego Kigen emphasized that lasting security lies in ideology, dialogue, and community ownership, underscoring the importance of regional cooperation in building a safer Somalia and Kenya.
