@Madfuryx@ChelseaJackg@matissearmani@CFCPys@DiMarzio City and Enzo both understood that if that happened though, and we finished top 4-5 with Maresca. City would be paying £40-60m as opposed to £17.6m (they wanted £0). So he snaked it
@Madfuryx@ChelseaJackg@matissearmani@CFCPys@DiMarzio I don’t even *hate* Maresca but he 100% snaked it. Even if you have issues with the board, even if you want to go back to City - you don’t ditch the young team you have been building with 1.5 szns with, you see the szn out til the end and wait til the summer
Adam Johnson, author of How to Sell a Genocide says in order to carry out a genocide, the US, Israel, and liberal media “needed to make a ceasefire with Hamas politically toxic… politically ‘unserious.’”
To achieve that, he explains, “it became so central [that Hamas and Palestinian resistance] are removed from history. And their grievances are [portrayed as] not secular or political but as instead driven entirely by hatred of Jews.”
“Then a ceasefire becomes not only impossible, it becomes immoral… and then genocide was inevitable.”

FIFA should be ashamed of itself.
Allowing the USA & Trump administration, to turn the World Cup into a platform for political games is an insult to football, to the fans, and to the spirit of the tournament.
The World Cup is supposed to unite the world through sport, not be used as a stage for dirty politics and embarrassment. FIFA’s leadership has failed badly, and those responsible should be held accountable.
This is quickly becoming one of the biggest embarrassments in World Cup history.
Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

In any democracy, security forces killing a baby would normally be a traumatic event for society. It would lead to condemnation, self-reflection, policy-change.
Not in Apartheid Israel. Where the policy that led to the killing is the point. And the death does not matter.
Crazy isn't it Jeremy Corbyn's Labour party had an 'antisemitism crisis' and now Zack Polanski's Green Party does.
While Nigel Farage's Reform party, with Nigel Farage and loads of Nazi lovers, doesn't.
It's like it's some kind of scam used against Left Wing parties.
This IDF soldier who shot a baby dead could be a British citizen. We would have no way of knowing.
That’s why Zack is right. We need to make sure any British national complicit in war crimes is held to account.
Israel kills a baby and the response I get is “accidents happen in war”. Israel has killed over 1,500 -yes one thousand five hundred- babies under one year old since 7/10.
Thank you President 🇸🇮.
Palestine is the moral compass of our time.
From Spain to Slovenia there is hope for Europe. A Europe that puts people above banks and markets, rights above profits, and respects int'l law regardless of political calculus.
@AndyBurnhamGM presents himself as a break with the failures of Labour under Starmer, but himself fails a key litmus test. I dont mean that Labour,s failure to end complicity with genocide is the fundamental reason people have turned away. I mean that the response to genocide is a key issue in addressing the question" What is a progressive party for?" If you are unwilling to confront mass crimes on this scale then why should you be trusted to confront unjust power when it manifests at home or abroad? Burnham's plea that such huge questions are beyond his compass as a humble Mayor begs at least 3 questions. 1. Why then do you think yourself fit to be P.M? 2. You may not be an expert on IHL and genocide. Why don't you trust the consensus of those who are? 3. Do you think Russia is committing war crimes in Ukraine? We all know his answer to the latter so why the double standard? Burnham's retreat into arguments about proportionality betrays a moral cowardice built on racist foundations. What is a proportionate amount of Palestinians slaughtered? What would be a proportionate response by Palestinians to decades of ethnic cleansing, apartheid and occupation? The answer of course lies in a support for the application of IHL consistently and universally. And an internationalist commitment to stand always with the oppressed and never with the oppressor. Those ought to be the minimum requirements of anyone seeking the highest office via an appeal to progressive values. Burnham is simply offering more of the same.
The Israeli army shot dead a 7-month-old Palestinian baby in the West Bank.
It was in broad daylight.
The father says:
"I stopped as I was instructed to, and then they simply shot at the car."
Israel routinely kills babies - and the West is silent.
The IDF has been accused of horrific war crimes in Gaza by the UN Human Rights Council & Amnesty International.
It is just common sense that those involved in war crimes should be held to account.
If you don’t fancy a pen as a forward player at Arsenal when your legs are fresh enough from only having played 30 odd minutes against tired legs, then you don’t deserve to don the shirt - you’ve scored 8 before & decide to make the warrior CB who put his body on the line take it
You can tell Chelsea have an inferiority complex when it comes to Arsenal. For all those trophies, they still don’t have the biggest fanbase in London, their fans have zero emotional connection to the club and they had barely any history pre-2005 or cultural impact
