@cenkuygur The tips are minuscule unless you are working at a touristy location. I worked in SoCal & averaged $60-70 a month then worked in Hawaii across from a beach and made $260+
@cenkuygur It’s super disappointing as a former partner. A huge percentage of Starbucks partners were Sanders supporters. In my home store alone, 13 out of 16 employees supported a Sanders candidacy. In reality he paid us minimum wage & offered free college which was unattainable.
@cenkuygur You had to make a minimum amount of hours per week to qualify for the college program & if your manager didn’t give you enough hours you weren’t eligible. I fought with my manager for months about qualifying before I just gave up & looked at other alternatives to attend school
@HowardSchultz As a former Starbucks partner, your political views do not represent the working class. Although I appreciate your views on conscious capitalism, introducing “free” college at @starbucks didn’t go far enough. Consider rallying to raise barista/partner pay at your former company.
@EmmaVigeland She’ll win South Carolina in the beginning primaries/caucuses. I don’t think she will win Iowa or NH. NV is a toss up for me. How do we keep the @DNC accountable? Some of the primaries & caucuses have yet to be scheduled. CA was moved up, helps Kamala. Good thing regardless
@Gr8ketch@thehill Exactly. She went from backing Hillary in agreement that these policy proposals were impossible to supporting policies she previously disagreed with. Motives are suspect. “You can dress a pig in satin and lace, but it’s still a pig.”- Anne Stuart
@TheStagmania A tiny percentage. If you look at polling numbers, Biden & Sanders are virtually tied. There are the same amount-if not more- who hold on to resentment against Hillary Clinton & the DNC for how he was treated unfairly during the primaries.
@ConnieBallou @mannyvu89 @Patrickesque Oh and by the way- most of the people involved in our community campaign are “non-white”, as you put it. Hawaii is predominately “non-white”.
@ConnieBallou @mannyvu89 @Patrickesque Anyways, got to go start working on the #RunBernieRun#Bernie2020 campaign, you know, the people powered campaign?! Funded by small dollar donations? Enjoy your day.
@mannyvu89 @ConnieBallou @Patrickesque You are perpetuating lies. He definitely did not ignore non-white people. I’m sure you ignored his campaign entirely & your opinion is based on what news organizations told you. Good luck with that mindset.
@pattonoswalt This is amazing. I just reread last year’s #MensMarch thread yesterday & was hysterically laughing in the doctor’s office for my post-op. You cheered me up after my recent ectopic pregnancy surgery. Thank you for your generosity to a veteran & just being so funny.
