Let’s be clear: the word “woke” is just another word for Black. When people are talking about “wokeness”, they are talking about Black equality, Black dignity, and Black liberation. That is what they hate. They are anti-Black. It has always been about white supremacy and power.
People don’t often leave church or Christianity because they don’t love Jesus. People often leave because the church and Christianity fails to look like him. It’s not so much that they have a broken faith as much as their faith is broken by others who love power more than people.
@KyleJamesHoward And women inevitably say acts of service, because they're carrying the vast majority of the load for the family and they're just plain burned out. It's not a love language; they're exhausted and need help.

“Faith over fear,” evangelicals say, except for women pastors, masks, election results, a Black woman for the Supreme Court, history books, a hint of accountability for abusive pastors, student loan forgiveness, & saying “happy holidays” on coffee cups, then they run screaming.
